You are invited to gather with us at 5440 over our common passion for nature and Steigerwald Lake, Franz Lake, and Pierce National Wildlife Refuges! We'll briefly discuss our successes from the past year, plans for the future, and then hear from some great speakers. The event will include: • Free Pizza • 54-40 is releasing a new Restoration Ale available for purchase • Refuge update from the complex Refuge Manager, Juliette Fernandez And two amazing guest speakers: Mauricio Valadrian of NW Family Daycation and Valadrian Creative & Consulting will discuss community engagement and “Finding Relevance Across Difference.” Joe Skalicky, USFWS Fish & Wildlife Biologist/Lamprey Expert who has spent lots of time at Steigerwald, Franz, and Pierce Refuges researching the lives of our native Lamprey species. Joe will be talking about the life and cultural history of these incredible animals. General Public is invited to attend. We hope to see you there!
