The Build: Black Men’s Empowerment Summit When: Saturday, June 3rd, 2023, 9:00am-4:00pm Where: East High School - 1500 E. Broad Street Columbus, OH 43205 Mission: To educate and empower black men through networking, mentorship, and intentional instruction in an effort to improve our quality of life. The Build is a half day summit comprising informative workshops, engaging keynotes, and community resources specifically focused on addressing the needs of Black Men. Attendees will have the opportunity to attend workshops of their choice and network with other forward thinkers and subject matter experts who look like them. We are committed to engaging, educating, and empowering black men in a way that will allow them to change their lives for the better. The event will prioritize participation and facilitation of programs by Columbus City School Alumni. Attendees will complete a survey as well as a needs assessment and will have a success coach follow up with them to assist with referrals to appropriate resources and track outcomes. The Build is for men ages 16 and up.
