Description

As part of Historic Pittsford's May Preservation Month celebration, Bob Corby will lead two village walking tours on Saturday, May 6th and May 13th. Bob will give an overview of the Village's history, architecture, and the role the canal and railroads played in shaping the community. The discussion will include the history of key landmarks as well as the historical efforts made to preserve them and the Village's unique historic character. The walks will include touring the newly refurbished Little House. Participation is limited and registration is required. Proceeds from the walking tours will go directly to preserving and maintaining the Little House, a small but significant community treasure. Grab a coffee or beverage to take on the walk! Registered ticket holders can show their same-day ticket for 50% off one beverage of their choice at Neutral Grounds Coffeehouse between 8-10am the day of the event. Grab a coffee to go or have breakfast before the tour, but be sure to show up early - the tour will start promptly at 10am. Tours last 1.5-2 hours each and are the same tour on two separate days. Tours will run rain or shine, please dress for the weather and wear walking shoes to stand/walk along the canal path. Each tour will begin in the gazebo along the canal path across from Neutral Grounds Coffeehouse at 45 Schoen Place, Pittsford, NY 14534. We appreciate the support of Neutral Grounds Coffeehouse for these events.
