On May 20, Grand Central Terminal – in partnership with Sputnik Yoga – is offering a trio of movement classes that are free and available for all. The classes that are part of this special day of programming include a dynamic vinyasa yoga experience for all levels; a HIIT-style workout that will provide a total body fitness challenge and a slower-style restorative class to close out the day. Imagine a Silent Disco wellness experience in a monumental setting, Grand Central’s Vanderbilt Hall. For each offering, participants will be provided with SOUND-Off headphones so that they can hear the music and teacher’s instructions. It’ll be a community wellness experience like no other. Students are asked to sign up in advance on Eventbrite in order to reserve their spot in class. Spacing is limited. Please bring your own yoga mat to use during practice. Designed to create a more focused and immersive experience, we will be using Sound Off™ headphones to silence our activation. The space for this even is limited so we please ask to only sign up for only one of the three sessions per student. Schedule of Classes: 9 AM - 10 AM Breathe & Connect: Vinyasa Yoga with Dena An invigorating and accessible vinyasa-style yoga journey. Begin by centering, build to a series of empowering and joyful sequences and then ease into a pranayama practice, followed by a restful savasana.Please bring your own yoga mat to use during practice. 11 AM - Noon HIIT & Flow with Dasha An exciting, all-in-one fitness class that combines cardio, strength, and flexibility. Challenge yourself in this full-body workout and tap into your inner fierceness. 30 min HIIT inspired class followed by a 30 min FLOW. Wear comfortable tennis shoes.Please bring your own yoga mat to use during practice. 1 PM - 2 PM Restorative Flow with Nika A slower-paced one-hour class designed to open your body, relieve stress and tune into the present moment. The focus throughout is on the sensation of connecting movement, breath and awareness mindfully.Please bring your own yoga mat to use during practice.
