Africa Out West celebrates Chicago’s legacy of traditional African diasporic dance and music, bringing together various artistic organizations to honor performance traditions from the Black Atlantic. The inaugural concert will feature Muntu Dance Theatre, Ayodele Drum & Dance, Move Me Soul, and Azania Drum. Join us for the village gathering at 6:30pm, which will include complimentary fare. The concert starts at 7:30pm. Africa Out West is presented in partnership with Old Town School of Folk Music and Kehrein Center for the Arts with generous support for the City of Chicago's Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events.
