An Anatomical Gift is the donation of the human body. The unique and priceless gift of the human body provides the opportunity for building knowledge that is the foundation of healthcare education. Whole body donations at Elon are used to teach undergraduate biology students who are interested in pursuing graduate degrees in healthcare and graduate students in the Physical Therapy and Physician Assistant programs. The need for donations is great, and the gift is valued and honored beyond measure. Dianne Person, as the Founding Director of the Anatomical Gift Program (AGP) at Elon University is the public relations expert on anatomical donation that advances the institutional interests and acts in the best interest of the donor(s) and their family. Ms. Person has been directly involved in the field of anatomical donation since 1999.
