This documentary was made when two mothers of children with anxiety joined forces to make the film—Academy Award-winning director Vanessa Roth and first-time co-director Laura Morton. Their goal: to lift the shroud of shame. The film leads us on an intimate journey, showing how anxiety impacts young people and what parents’ contributing role may be. Anxious Nation offers insight into how we got here and what we can do to harness anxious energy for good. Interwoven with compelling personal stories and testimony from experts is heartfelt artwork from around the world created by young people living with anxiety.
