Governor Newsom recently launched an initiative to phase out the sale of gas-powered vehicles by 2035 and replace them with electric or zero-emissions vehicles, as a way to reduce carbon emissions that damage our health and climate. However, access to electric vehicles (EVs) continues to be a challenge and our communities need more accurate information about how they operate and what this means for our future. Come learn more from EV owners and advocates at this event, where there will be 6-8 EVs for anyone to ride and driver’s license holders to test drive, including a Ford Lightning truck!
All participants are required to fill out a short registration form and survey to participate test ride or drive a vehicle. Folks are encouraged to sign up here to save time, or can register in person at the event. Sign up today!
Let us build community, collaboration, and solidarity among indigenous peoples in collective environmentalist action!
This event is free and open to the public.
