Description
Over the course of a year-long collaboration, talented artists from Hamilton High School [Karen Tabor's AP Art and 3-4 Drawing] worked to create their own art inspired by Chandler Museum’s exhibition Picturing Home: Dust Bowl Migrants in Chandler.
From classroom conversations to silent sketching in the exhibit hall, these students reflected on the way documentary photography enables us to empathize and reflect on the people, objects, and circumstances that foster our sense of identity.
The resulting 40+ pieces, in a variety of mediums, express the heartfelt, nuanced, and diverse ways we define the concept of home.
On Thursday, May 11th from 6:30-7:30 join us to meet and celebrate these young artists!
The exhibit hall will remain open during the event for those who'd like to enjoy the exhibitions Picturing Home: Dust Bowl Migrants in Chandler and Working America.
