At this event, a continuing
exploration of their January workshop,
participants will share the stories of the lived
experience of Black Americans through participants’ first-hand and historical accounts
as well as through the cultural media of literature, poetry, film, and music. Through
these stories, participants of all races will
come together and the longing for freedom
at the heart of the experience of Black
people and to appreciate how the African
American cultural practices passed down
have preserved and enhanced that dream.
Participation in the January workshop is
not a prerequisite for this workshop. All are welcome!
