Description

Julie will walk you through the basics of how to bind your own journal using the Coptic stitch. You will start with sheets of paper, waxed thread, and book board, and end with a usable and fully functional book. We will be in the Provincal Room at UTP and there will be a break for drinks and food if you would like to order any. Food and beverages are not included with the ticket. The following tools and materials will be provided (but feel free to bring anything you might have on hand at home): Book board Cover paper Waxed thread Lined paper (You can bring art paper if you'd rather that!) Scissors/xacto knives Awl Bead reamer Ruler Bone/teflon folder Tapestry needles (C or J-shape preferred) Cutting pad Phone Book A heavy college textbook
