Cincinnati Cancer Advisors is proud to announce its second-annual fundraising concert on May 27, 2023, at the School for Creative and Performing Arts featuring the eight-piece Philip Myers Band with special guest John Elefante. This concert benefits CCA's mission of providing platinum-level consultative oncology and genetic counseling services to over 400 Greater Cincinnatians with newly diagnosed cancers each year – all at no charge to the patient.
John Elefante is the former lead singer of the rock band Kansas. Born in Levittown, NY, he is an American singer-songwriter, instrumentalist and record producer. His credits include writing and singing lead vocals on three multi-platinum albums. He produced albums that have earned numerous GMA Dove Awards, four Grammy Awards, and ten Grammy nominations. The genres of music he has covered are hard rock, pop rock, progressive rock, Christian Rock, and contemporary Christian. He has produced and/or performed on more than 100 major albums.
How long? This year's event will be a 75-minute, high-energy classic rock concert where fans will revel in hearing a collection of some of Kansas' greatest hits performed just as they remember them, including Carry On My Wayward Son, Dust in the Wind, Point of Know Return, Play the Game Tonight, Hold On, Fight Fire with Fire, and Cold as Ice. The performance will also feature other iconic songs from the 1970s to and beyond performed by the Philip Myers Band which, on any given night, might feature songs by Toto, Boston, Foreigner, Elton John, Led Zeppelin, or Van Halen, among others.
Tickets start at a $50 donation, with the final price determined by the donor. All seating is General Admission. The music begins at 8:00 PM and we hope to see you there!
