The Alpha Scholarship and Charitable Foundation Inaugural Jazz Brunch Concert will feature The Richard Payne Trio. Richard Payne is a legendary performer who has released CD’s featuring his solo piano selections The Trio consists of Richard Payne, pianist, Rudy Spruill, bassist, and Roderick Johnson, percussionist. The Richard Payne Trio is a deliberate methodical instrumentation cascade of jazz, gospel and classical music. They have engaged national and international audiences with their intricate sound of musical tapestries. In addition, the brunch intermission will feature saxophonist, Ed Martin, Jr. The brunch will feature a buffet and cash bar.
