The HSU Educational Foundation is excited to announce this new course, Computing Essentials. This course is a bilingual class and is focused on 5th through 9th grade participants looking to learn more about computers and networks with opportunity to earn a certification off the Florida Career and Professional Education(CAPE) list. (La Fundación Educativa HSU esta emocionada de anunciar su nuevo curso, Elementos Esenciales de Computación. Este curso is bilingue y esta enfocado para participantes de los grados quinto a octavo que buscan aprender mas sobre computadores y como estos se conectan a la red. Con este curso tendran la oportunidad de obtener una certificación de Florida Career and Professional Education(CAPE).) Objectives (Objetivos) Learn about various types of computers and their functions (Aprender sobre varios tipos de computadores y sus funciones)Study the basic computer system components and their roles ( Estudiar los componentes básicos de el sistema informático y sus roles.)Learn about computer hardware, and input and output devices including operating systems (Aprender sobre el hardware de los computadores y los dispositivos de entrada y salida, incluidos los sistemas operativos)Learn techniques for efficient file management, including the use of file name extensions ( Aprender técnicas para el manejo eficiente de archivos, inluidos el uso de extensiones de nombre de archivo)Study the basics of computer networking, including network topologies and models (Estudiar los conceptos básicos de las redes informáticas, incluidas las topologías y modelos de red)Course schedule: June 5th-9th 3pm-5pm (Horario de curso: Junio 5 - 9 de 3pm - 5pm) If you cannot attend all the sessions, please do not register for this course.
