First-In-STEM - (Cudgel. Collaborate. Cypher) The 2023 MANiFest Kickoff Event - theme is ‘First-In-STEM’ presented by BrainSTEMology (TM). The Kickoff Event is 3-fold, (cudgel one’s brain, collaborate with your squad, cypher the entire world). Hip-Hop and S.T.E.M (Science. Technology. Engineering. Mathematics) are equivalents of one another. Our ultimate goal is to educate and entertain the youth, the general public, and all stakeholders how and why both disciplines are academically and artistically symbiotic (mutualistic). Cudgel one’s brain (MANiFest’n Greatness Game Show) One of this year’s newest editions, ‘MANiFest’n Greatness Game Show’, is a flagstone initiative of the founding principles. A fan of Jeopardy, The Price Is Right, and Wild’n Out will enjoy this triple-mashup featuring Hip-Hop x S.T.E.M skits and interactive trivial pursuit-type questions powered by Kahoot. Finally you can test your greatness on historical figures, milestones, landmarks, hip-hop academia, and S.T.E.M concepts patented by minorities, both men and women scientists, doctors, pharmacists, engineers, inventors, entrepreneurs, athletes, scholars, artists, and mathematicians dating back to the 1600s, especially achievements from North Carolinians. Collaborate with your squad (STEM-Crawl) In its 2nd year at MANiFest, ‘STEM-Crawl’ is an innovative first-of-its-kind Hip-Hop x S.T.E.M Networking-Workshop Party, exclusively for middle, junior high, and high-school students. One major feature of this flagstone initiative is witnessing student laureates perform and execute within a collaborative diverse team on goal-oriented projects to enhance problem-solving strategies similar to those conducted in actual clinical trials. Cypher the entire world (Da’ Grand Rounds C.Y.P.H.E.R) The second newest edition, ‘Da’ Grand Rounds C.Y.P.H.E.R', fulfills the last flagstone initiative. This dynamic and comprehensive medical/scientific-style panel discussion, like Plato’s symposium, will thoroughly engage students, the general public through a hip-hop lens. The acronym C.Y.P.H.E.R means to circulate your philosophical, historical evidence, and recommendations. The ultimate goal is to educate, engage, and enrich every students' preparedness on mental health topics and cultural competencies needed in S.T.E.M industries, higher education, leadership, social nonprofit initiatives, and entrepreneurship.
