Have you played Chess for a while, and want to see what a real tournament would look and feel like? Or are you an experienced tournament player, searching for USCF rated tournaments in the area? Welcome to the first Cucamonga Open! Join us Saturday May 20th, at 11:00am (Arrive Early!) for round one, of a 3 round, 1 day USCF rated fundraising chess tournament. Please bring your own set and clock as supplies are limited. This is an excellent opportunity to establish a first official rating if you have not already! To enter the tournament, you first need a United States Chess Federation membership, which you can find here: Join US Chess | US Chess.org Then, here on Eventbrite, register, give your USCF ID#, and fill out any requested rounds off. $30 per player, pay via Eventbrite by May 19. Time Controls and Round Times: 3SS, G/45, d5. Round 1: 11am, Round 2: 1pm, Round 3: 3pm. Each player has 45 minutes to make all their moves per game, with a 5 second delay per move.
