Our Green Home Tours will let you step inside our community's most beautiful high-performance homes. Get an inside look at your neighbors’ inspiring design projects, practical application of green initiatives, and innovative use low carbon building materials in their home. We’re offering interactive workshops led by local experts and professionals at Sustainable Connection's office on Saturday, June 3rd. Choose your schedule for the day based on your interests. Workshops and Tours Galore!This year we will be offering two workshops at Sustainable Connections, 1701 Ellis St STE 221, Bellingham Workshop #1: Insulating an Old Home: Cost-Effective Strategies for Energy Efficiency 11am-12pmThe experts at CAZ Construction will guide you through the process of insulating an old home, using affordable and energy-efficient materials and techniques. You’ll learn about the different types of insulation available, and how to choose the best ones for your home’s unique needs and budget. Workshop #2: A Homeowner's Guide to the Inflation Reduction Act1pm-2pmLearn about the various incentives available to homeowners under the Inflation Reduction Act, including tax credits, deductions, and rebates. Kris Forck from the Community Energy Challenge will guide you through the key provisions of the act and explain how you can take advantage of them to lower your energy bills, improve your home’s energy efficiency, and reduce your carbon footprint.
