Gonzalo Teppa is a renowned bassist, composer and educator born in Barquisimeto, Venezuela. Gonzalo is a two-time Latin Grammy Nominee for “Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album” and “Best Latin Jazz Album”, for his participation on the albums “Tiempo” by Linda Briceño; and “3rd Element” by Luis Quintero. Teppa was named “Best Jazz Soloist” by Downbeat Magazine in 2004, 2005, and 2006. Within the Venezuelan music scene, Gonzalo has performed with legendary artists such as: Ilan Chester, Aldemaro Romero, Oscar D´ León, Gualberto Ibarreto, Aquiles Báez, Carlos “Nene” Quintero, Cecilia Todd, Rafael “El Pollo” Brito, C4 Trio, Biella Da Costa, Gerry Weil, among others. In the Jazz world Gonzalo has performed with Wynton Marsalis, Jeff “Tain” Watts, Matt Wilson, Maria Schneider, Renée Fleming, Ed Simon, Chris Potter, Tom Harrell, Ron Miles, Art Lande, Jesús “Chuchito” Valdés, Jeremy Pelt, Ben Goldberg, among others. Gonzalo Teppa is a faculty member of the University of Northern Colorado, Greeley, the University of Colorado in Denver and CCJA in Denver. Instagram @gonzaloteppa. Adolfo Herrera is a Venezuelan and is one of the most talented and versatile musicians on the South Florida music scene, born in Caracas, Venezuela. He has to his credit more than 70 recordings in commercial albums and among them, there are 5 nominees for the Latin Grammy Awards. He works as a drummer, percussionist (live and session), arranger, musical director, and producer. His solo project is titled “IRREPETIBLE”. His first single "SOLEDAD" is available on all platforms. He is a Yamaha Artist, LP Artist (Latin Percussion) and plays Istanbul Mehmet Cymbals. His array of works ranges from the Miami Symphony Orchestra to Raíces Jazz Orchestra (with Tony Succar and Pablo Gil recently added to the PBS series Great Performances), De La Paz Ensemble and Siudy Flamenco Dance Theater. A sample of his versatility goes through the large number of styles he has mastered throughout his career: jazz, rock, pop, ska, Latin, Afro-Venezuelan folklore, Afro-Caribbean rhythms, and flamenco, among others. Huascar Barradas is a Venezuelan flautist born in Maracaibo a city in northwestern Venezuela, and Professor of flute at the "Instituto Universitario de Estudios Musicales" in Caracas. As a flutist he has represented Venezuela at a range of international festivals and as both soloist and symphonic musician plays a wide range of music types. Barradas was the principal flute of Orquesta Filarmónica Nacional. Huáscar has recorded 18 albums, which have been distributed successfully worldwide, including three symphonic albums, two children’s albums, two Christmas albums, two albums with his Venezuelan Acoustic Trio, and nine albums with his band Maracaibo. He has also recorded two live DVDs, “Entre Amigos” 1 and 2, featuring some of the most important singers in Venezuela. Among multiple awards in Venezuela and abroad, Huáscar was nominated twice for the Latin Grammy: first in 2011 for the best long video for "Entre Amigos 2", and again in 2013 for the best instrumental album for Dos Mundos 2 with pianist Leopoldo Betancourt. He was named Traditional Music Artist of the Year at the Pepsi Venezuela Music Awards in 2012 and 2013. Huáscar lives in Caracas, Venezuela. His very full schedule includes more than 100 concerts each year in venues in the United States, Europe, Latin America, and Asia as he continues to share the magic of his flute. Instagram @huascarbarradas. Henry Linarez is a Venezuelan Cuatro musician, born in 1980 in Barquisimeto- Venezuela. Linarez began his relationship with music at the age of three and received musical instruction from notable musicians and teachers from his birthplace. Besides the Cuatro, Linarez also studied guitar, piano, harmony, and composition. His comprehensive formation makes him a solid performer of traditional Venezuelan folk music. Linarez has hosted concerts and workshops in different cities of his native Venezuela as well as concerts in several cities of the US (NY, LA, Chicago, Washington DC), Canada (Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto), México (DF, Zacatecas, Tegucigalpa), Central & South America (San Salvador, Bogotá, Medellín, Cartagena, Casanare, Arauca, Ciudad de Panamá) as well as some Caribbeans islands (Aruba, Trinidad y Puerto Rico). Europe has also been an active hub for the artist, hosting concerts in London, Manchester, Paris, Brussels, Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, and Stockholm. His virtuosic playing of the small guitar of Hispanic heritage “Cuatro”, has led Linarez to perform alongside important local musicians such as Simon Diaz, Gualberto Ibarreto, Aquiles Machado, Aldemaro Romero, Ensamble Garrufio among others. Internationally renowned artists, Arturo Sandoval, Rosario y Lolita Flores have also relied on Mr. Linarez during live performances. Victor Mestas born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela, Victor studied piano with Carmen Moleiro. He was the endorsement artist for Yamaha musical products in Venezuela since 2001. His professional background includes more than 100 recordings for international renowned artists, including three CDs with the Venezuelan songwriter Ilan (one of them got a Latin Grammy Award in 2010). Mestas has performed (as pianist/ keyboardist/arranger/producer) for renowned bands and singers in Venezuela, including Guaco, Soledad Bravo, Maria Rivas, Cheo Feliciano, and Julio Iglesias (Uruguay/Argentina tour in 2010). Victor moved to Boulder in 2012 with his wife and two daughters and is performing on the Brazilian-Latin-Jazz-World music scene: Nelson Rangell, Colorado Jazz Repertory Orchestra, Los Chicos Malos, Dexter Payne, Paa Kow, and others. Working since 2016 at CU Boulder College of Music, currently he is conducting the Thompson Jazz Studies Latin Jazz Ensemble and teaching Jazz Piano. Facebook @Victor Mestas Perez. Nathasha Bravo is a singer from Cumana , Venezuela who is configured as one of the best voices in the country, who has shared and collaborated with figures such as Serenata Guayanesa, the UCV University Choir, César Orozco and Luis Enrique, She has also studied piano, including with Gerry Weil himself and is the cousin of none other than Jorge Glem, cuatrista, mandolinist and music producer, is undoubtedly one of the great musical treasures of Venezuela. Therefore, she is very close musically to the C4 Trio and its members. Nathasha Bravo has immense potential, a very sweet, emotional, and charismatic voice. She started out in the tradition of Venezuelan music, but now she has begun a path in which she discovers other sounds that she is also passionate about, jazz, for example. She started singing at the age of six. Two decades later, she assures that he is fulfilling her dreams. Now, from the United States, where she has lived for a few years, she details what her plans will be in the art that he likes so much. The lot closer to the theater and cheaper is the Holly Lot, which is accessed from 7th and Curtis. The Holly Lot will remain the $7.50 parking rate even during the evening. All other parking lots on campus will go to a $15 night and weekend parking rate after 5:00pm, and the Tivoli Garage goes to a $20 night and weekend rate after 5:00pm.
