Hey Marksville, are you ready to get moving? Come join us May 19th and 20th to make Washington Street a more pedestrian friendly environment. We will be painting the street with curb extensions and artful crosswalks and adding site furniture and landscape planters. We are looking for volunteers to complete this project. Come be a part of revitalizing Washington Street and shaping Marksville's future one brushstroke at a time! Volunteers will primarily be painting and will need to be able to be outside for the majority of the day. Some teams will responsible for moving bags of soil and adding plants to planters. Another group will be responsible for assembling tables. Physical requirements are bending over/working on hands and knees and carrying15-20lbs. Come dressed in clothes you don't mind getting paint on and bring a refillable water bottle! Water, sports drinks, and light snacks will be provided.
