For over 25 years Chicago Debates in partnership with Chicago Public Schools has been vital to providing a platform where students learn critical communication and advocacy skills to succeed in life. We want to expand this effort by providing a space for our Spanish speakers to succeed. Join Chicago Debates presentation for a presentation of our new programming, Debate en Español to learn how to bring this innovative program to your school for the 2023-24 school year. About Chicago Debates: Chicago Debates is bridging the educational opportunity gap for Chicago Public School (CPS) students by providing them with an after-school program that supports their academic, career, and leadership success. We partner with Chicago Public Schools (CPS) to provide 1200+ 6th to 12th grade students with opportunities to cultivate academic, social-emotional, career, and leadership skills that will help them to be successful in life. Debate has been found to promote students' school, civic, and social engagement, lead to significant gains in GPA, improves ACT scores, and debaters are three times less likely to drop out of high school and 80% more likely to graduate college.
