Co-hosted by the City of Santa Monica and Santa Monica Spoke, the Kidical Mass Mental Health Awareness Month ride is back, this time at Clover Park! Kidical Mass is a fun, safe group bike ride for all ages, families with kids to seniors. The ride is meant to be comfortable for riders just starting out and biking on city streets for the first time. The ride doesn’t shy away from traffic; a ride like this is meant to help all participants develop skills and comfort for riding in the city by having a group to ride with. When: Sunday, May 21, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PMEvent Location: Clover Park (2600 Ocean Park Blvd, Santa Monica, CA 90405)The morning will include: Community partners offering activities and local mental health resourcesA safe group bike ride for all ages, from families with kids to seniorsHelmet decoratingBagels, juice, coffee, and snacksWe will meet on the west side of the park, near 25th Street and Oak Street. Remember to wear GREEN for Mental Health Awareness! This group ride will help all participants develop skills and comfort for bike riding in the city. Volunteers are needed! You only need to register once – if you sign up here, you do not need to sign up for the City of Santa Monica event. * Children must be accompanied and are the responsibility of their parents. Bikes should be in good working condition. Free Safety Checks will be offered on-site for minor adjustments/repairs. Please use good judgment during the ride – the route is on city streets and smaller children should be in a child seat, trailer, or tag-a-long. Tips: You're welcome to bring your own bike and helmet. Veo will be providing sit-down electric scooters and helmets for people aged 18+ who don't have their own bicycles.
