International recording artist Moabi Kotu grew up in Soweto surrounded by musical influences ranging from apartheid protest songs to his father’s extensive jazz collection. In his teen years, Kotu was mentored by 3-time Grammy Award Winning Producer Milton Ndlakuse and Fana Zulu, the bass guitatrist for South African legend Hugh Masakela.
