Join us for a behind the scenes tour of The Orion and hear from Huntsville Venue Group Marketing Director Olivia Christian and Orion Marketing Manager Megan Newton on how they are handling the advertising and marketing of this state-of-the-art complex. Get a sneak peak of what is on the horizon as we learn about this amazing addition to the Huntsville/North Alabama landscape. Box lunches will be served on picnic tables under The Dome.Meet at North Box Office gate at 11:30 a.m.With over 10 years of experience within the entertainment industry, Olivia Christian has held various roles in venue, festival, and concert marketing and publicity. Touting years of sold-out concerts and attendance records for both tours and one-off shows marketed across the United States (Metallica, Luke Combs, Wu Tang Clan), Olivia has a track record of executing creative, successful promotional campaigns. Most recently, Olivia led marketing efforts for The Orion Amphitheater's inaugural season, which were recognized by nominations and awards from organizations such as IEBA, Pollstar, and AAF North Alabama. In her current role as hvg Marketing Director at tvg hospitality, she oversees all marketing and PR strategy for all hvg concepts and venues. She currently splits time between her residence in Nashville and the hvg office in her hometown of Huntsville, AL. Megan Newton is an Ohio University E.W. Scripps School of Journalism graduate and marketing strategist with experience in entertainment, tourism, and arts + culture. Passionate about promoting and building brands focused on fan experiences, Megan has spent the last seven years working in the music industry. Throughout her career, Megan has brought a fresh voice to venues and attractions in the digital space, including the Greater Cleveland Aquarium, Ryman Auditorium, the Grand Ole Opry, and Blake Shelton’s Ole Red. Her publicity work includes features for clients in Rolling Stone, People Magazine, and Southern Bride to performances on TODAY and CBS Sunday Morning. Megan has worked on multiple new venue launches across the United States, as well as earned record-breaking ticket sales digitally, seeing Ryman Auditorium to its 10th consecutive Pollstar Theater of the Year win. In May 2022, Megan joined the team at tvg hospitality, leading marketing efforts for Huntsville, Alabama’s new 8,000-capacity outdoor venue, The Orion Amphitheater.
