Riding bikes is supposed to be fun. But you know what's really not fun? Saddle sores, UTI's, chafing, pressure in places you really don't want to discuss on your group ride, choosing comfortable riding clothes that don't itch and make your ass sweat and having very few spaces to discuss any of this openly and honestly. Woof. Well, we're going to attempt to remedy some of that with a classy night of beer/La Croix drinking and supportive, open discussion! Welcome to a night of uncomfortable conversations aimed to get you more comfortable in the saddle. This event is for anyone who has had the unfortunate experience of being deterred from riding because, well, the bike industry is still figuring out how to make bikes comfortable and inclusive beyond cis-men. Shawna, owner of Free Range Cycles, will be facilitating an open and honest conversation about how to choose a comfortable saddle, chamois cream, UTI/yeast infection/saddle sore prevention and how to choose the best clothing for a summer of pain-free riding. We'll primarily be discussing the pains and discomforts of having a vulva while biking-- if you can relate, this isn't one to miss!
