Old School Square Center for the Arts is presenting everyone’s favorite pathway to becoming a famous (or slightly famous) art collector. Brand new vibe, brand new location, slightly new name: Square OFF the Square, Same reliable, respected not for profit Arts and Culture impresario. Come join us for the fun, discover new talent, and find exactly the right masterpiece for that empty spot on your wall. Browse the shops in the Design District, and stroll through the art with an adult beverage in hand. Be among the first to discover Delray’s Design District located at 1880 Dr. Andre’s Way. View their website at designdelray.com Wander through the District sipping wine and viewing the art for sale in the galleries, sampling the wares offered by merchants, The Design District has it all: food, photography, high tech workspaces, women’s dresses, and yes, old fashioned American mechanical skills. But be prepared to return to the art exhibits and strategize how to beat out your neighbor for your favorite piece by your favorite artist. It’s fun, raucous, and rewarding. You will hardly notice that it’s a fund raiser. OSSCA is bringing back the excitement and the pleasure of supporting art in our community. Once again, the lights are on and the display space is available. We may no longer be located at the corner of Atlantic and Swinton, but we know how to find great artists and offer great deals for those who value art. Old School Square Center for the Arts will be holding a fundraiser for Delray’s Art Programming at Delray Design District located at 1880 Dr. Andre’s Way, Delray Beach FL 33445 on Friday May 12th 6-9pm, the event will be accompanied by Strawberry Lane live percussion played by local musicians. We will be hosting a VIP sponsor night and judging night May 10th 6-9pm, with Roger James live saxophone player. Our two famous Judges will be artist William DeBilzan. who enters his third decade of his professional career, DeBilzan has exhibited and is collected worldwide. From the Burj Khalifa in Dubai to the Marriott Central Park in New York, his paintings and sculptures are sought after for their visual and emotional impact. and artist Rolando Change Barrero who was awarded the Ryerson Fellowship. His speaking engagements include The Ringling Museum and The Norton Museum of Art. He has been honored with the 2021 Raizes Award- Outstanding Latino Artist-Award and recently been awarded The Cultural Council of Palm Beach Muse Award for Outstanding Cultural Leadership. Rolando Chang Barrero is recognized in Palm Beach County as the Best Artist in 2019, 2020, and 2021 and Best Gallery since 2017 in Palm Beach by SFGN for numerous years.
