Description

The 2023 Boston stop will begin at noon with spectators allowed to start securing their spots around the ICA Boston starting at 10amEDT. Timing of the event is dictated by the Boston Harbor tides, ensuring the divers have at least 5m (15ft of water) to dive into.  The 2022 Boston Champions, Molly Carlson of Canada and Aidan Heslop of Great Britain will be back in the lineup to each defend their Boston title. Overall 2022 Red Bull Cliff Diving Series Champions, Rihanna Iffland of Australia and Gary Hunt of France will also make their way back to attempt to secure the series title. In the Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series, 12 men and 12 women compete at every stop to earn maximum championship points with the hope to win the King Kahekili trophy. There are 8 men and 8 female permanent divers and four wildcards for each, totalling 24 divers with the chance to take the title. The platforms are at 27m (88.5ft) for the men and 21m (69ft) for the women. Each diver is judged by a panel of judges on their acrobatics and artistic moves during the dive. Event site will be accessible via Northern Avenue with main entry points on Marina Park Drive and Harbor Shore Drive and the Fan Pier Boardwalk. Viewing is accessible along any point of the marina boardwalk surrounding the Fan Pier Marina.
