Dungeons and Dragons is a tabletop role-playing game that can be used in both individual and group play therapy sessions. Join the presenters as they give you a rundown of the history of D&D, give examples of how it fits with historically significant play therapy theories, and show how it works within the framework of Adlerian Play Therapy specifically. Workshop Objectives (6): Apply D&D to various historically significant theoretical perspectives in play therapy. Discuss the history of D&D. Identify 3-4 skills clients can develop while using D&D in individual and group play therapy sessions. Describe to parents and caregivers how D&D can be a useful and powerful intervention in play therapy sessions. Utilize D&D to meet clients' play therapy treatment plan goals. Discuss the importance of identity and culture in the game of D&D.
