Comeout for a "Nature Nurture" social fun play day at the farm! We've had a few trial farm play days & the feedback has described it as "Timbernook at the Farm!" Kids get to run & play with familiar faces on the farm. Climb on the round bales, make a fort in the wood pile, play a pick up soccer game or try out the lip line. Take a relaxing nap in the hammock, or sit and chill by the bunnies or chickens. Brush a pony & braid her mane, or cuddle the puppies. Kids will spend the play time entirely out in nature having fun. Maybe we will all take a nature hike out in the back woods looking for toads or mushrooms. This is not a farm tour or an open day.... this is a private homeschool event by ticket only. We are limited with the town to a maximum 50 guests. Walk in tickets are $10 each. We will only have "walk in" ticket sales if the event does not sell out. (text Erin at (773)575-4990 the day of to check. Animal barns are not open & we will not be going in with the animals. But you are still able to get up close & personal with many of them & you are welcome to bring apples & carrots, greens or berries to feed them. Friendly farm dogs & kitties will be wandering around the farm. Dress for the weather! Bring boots if you want to explore muddy areas or trails, bug spray or sunblock. Bring a swimsuit & towl on hot days & jump in the "hill billy swimmin pool." I suggest a change of clothes "just in case." Admission is $7 per child. All kids need a ticket. Parents & babies (under 1) are free. All families must sign a liability waiver & all attendees present listed. All families must sign a photo release. Children 5 & under must have a parent with them at all times when near the animals. No hand-feeding of animals. (Kids can toss treats through the fence). No ticket refunds for last minute cancels as we have limited attendee space & we are saving a spot for you as well as blocking off open farm time for this private social event. ALL tickets will be refunded in the event of dangerous rain/lightening or unexpected bad weather making free play impossible. Portable rest room & washing station avail for use.
