Join Trish Lindemann, Untermyer Gardens Conservancy's Education and Outreach Officer, on a one-hour tour of the trees in the Walled Garden on May 13th. Meet at the greeter tent by the main entrance at 11:00 AM to explore the stunning landscape and rich history of this beautiful garden.
Untermyer Gardens spans over 43 acres and features a wide variety of trees, as well as perennials and shrubs, fountains, sculptures, and more. On this tour, we will focus on the Walled Garden, and discuss more than twenty tree specimens, both old and young.
During the tour, Trish will describe each tree, including its structure, leaf, seeds, and other unusual characteristics, as well as its historical significance and design purpose in the garden. Feel free to ask questions and learn more about the trees that you find most interesting or noteworthy. We will also take some time to appreciate their beauty!
