Learn to make classic Italian comfort food dishes and taste test along the way! Comfort foods are what we all long for on cold, wintry days. Join instructor Julie Parisi as she leads the class through three classic Italian dishes sure to bring comfort to your belly and soul. First, attendees will learn how to make tortellini by hand for a traditional Tortellini in Brodo soup. Then, we will make Pork Meatballs to serve over a decadent Parmesan Polenta. Last, the class will enjoy tasting delicious cookies called Brutti Ma Buoni and even take some home to enjoy with a cup of tea or coffee for later. This class is formatted to be a demonstration with tastings, although the tortellini-making portion will be hands-on and attendees are encouraged to bring an apron. This will be held in the Kirkwood Culinary Kitchen, within the NewBo City Market. In-person class size will be limited to 8 students, per social distancing guidelines. Each student will be able to be seated at least 6 feet from each other. All materials and equipment are single use, or sanitized. Face-masks are required. Please refrain from joining us if you have been ill recently.  All ticket holders receive a coupon for NewBo Beer & Wine for the week of the event. No refunds or exchanges.
