Join me in the old barn at 1884 On The Bluff to paint a garden pole to delightfully embellish your grounds and embrace your creative genius. Participants will paint a landscape timber measuring 3" x 3" x 4'. Posts will be prepared & painted one solid color and ready for you to decorate when you arrive. I'm JoDee Krotz, one of the owners of 1884 On The Bluff. I'll lead the class and assist you through the painting process; and, if you're nervous, I'll help you bring forth the expressiveness of your own inner artist. We'll discuss favorite symbols and messages and guide the class participants to design your own one-of-a-kind garden art-pole. Completed poles can either be placed or "planted" outside in your garden or enjoy your work of art indoors. You'll also be instructed how to protect poles from summer sun or winter elements. Pre-registration is required. The number of participants is limited to 25. Cost is $40 and includes prepared poles and paint supplies. Please come prepared to spend a few hours + (bring food, drinks, comfy shoes, outdoor work clothes, etc.) Completion times will very due to skill level.
