Description
Grant Writing for Social Workers (3 hour CEU) Presented by: Johanna Thomas, PhD, LCSW Writing grants requires becoming competent in finding sources of funding and writing grant proposals. A specific set of skills are needed to plan and design programs and write grants. Planning and designing programs and services and writing effective grant proposals are necessary skills for anyone interested in innovating or sustaining current programs and securing funding required to be successful. Emphasis should be placed on program planning, understanding program performance and accountability, finding funders, responding to requests for proposals and then persuasively writing a grant to secure the resources needed to implement or sustain the program. These skills can be generalized to any setting and are relevant to direct and macro social work practice in mental health, children and family, aging, substance abuse, school social work, etc. *Space is limited to 20 in person participants; and 25 livestream participants - YOU MUST SELECT THE APPROPRIATE TICKET BELOW IN ORDER TO RECEIVE A LINK TO LIVESTREAM THIS SESSION. **Please note the No Refund policy.
