To highlight our Hispanic services, Forge Breast Cancer Survivor Center brings you a free concert in the park, featuring a string quartet of volunteer musicians from the Alabama Symphony Orchestra. The musicians will play classical and contemporary songs, with the music interspersed by readings of poems and essays written by Spanish- and English-speaking Forge breast cancer survivor volunteers and clients. Concert begins at 5 p.m. at the Avondale Amphitheater. The concert is open to the entire community. Consider joining us with your friends and family for this meaningful and moving night celebrating and honoring all those who have been impacted by breast cancer. En honor a nuestras guerreras latinas/hispanas que luchan contra el cáncer de mama, Forge Breast Cancer Survivor Center les ofrece un concierto benéfico en el parque. El concierto gratuito cuenta con un cuarteto de cuerdas de músicos voluntarios de la Orquesta Sinfónica de Alabama. Los músicos tocarán una mezcla de canciones clásicas y contemporáneas, con la música intercalada con lecturas de poemas y ensayos escritos por clientes y voluntarios sobrevivientes de cáncer de mama de Forge que hablan español e inglés.
