Description

All DIYD workshops have Pay What You Can ticket options. If the Full Cost Ticket is financially comfortable for you, we ask that you purchase this ticket to help DIYD offset the costs of workshop expenses. If the Full Cost Ticket is a stretch for you at this time, choose a lower cost ticket that suits your financial capacity. Choose the “Pay What You Can” option to purchase a ticket for as low as $1. If you would like to make a donation to DIYD, choose the 125% cost ticket option or use the Pay What You Can option to make a donation of any amount. (And thank you!) For more information about how DIYD uses the revenue from ticket costs, scroll down to our FAQ section below. Do It Yourself Darlin is VERY excited to collaborate with the incredible Annette of @513woodworks to offer another fun Woodworking 101 workshop! This is a workshop for both beginners looking to try their hand at some basic woodworking skills AND for folks who simply looking for a fun and unique weekend activity. Annette will teach attendees how to use band saws and scroll saws skillfully and safely and will share about her own experiences as a self-taught maker and woodworker. The workshop will end with a hands-on portion during which all attendees will have the opportunity to use the tools and create something of their own! About the teacher: Hi! I’m Annette. I’m a hobbyist maker, self-proclaimed tool addict and Jill-of-all-trades based in Cincinnati. I attempted my first DIY woodworking project in 2017 when I made some simple raised beds for my garden. I fell in love with making, and haven’t stopped learning new skills (and buying new tools) since. I’m an engineer by profession, and use making as stress relief and as a creative outlet. I enjoy exploring different mediums and techniques but my primary medium is wood. About Do It Yourself Darlin Workshops: All Do It Yourself Darlin Workshops are geared towards beginners, open to anyone age 16+, and taught by local Cincinnati craftspeople. DIYD is a program of the non-profit CDC Price Hill Will. All of DIYD’s funding comes from grants, sponsorships, donations, and workshop ticket sales.
