We are calling all Parents, Teachers, students, staff members & model citizens to attend this important seminar, Surviving an Active Attack Event. This is the same type of training used all over the world for civilians to greatly enhance chances of surviving an attack: The Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (C.R.A.S.E) course, designed and built on the Avoid, Deny Defend (ADD) strategy developed by ALERRT in 2004, provides strategies, guidance and a proven plan for surviving an active shooter event. Topics include the history and prevalence of active shooter events, civilian response options, medical issues, and considerations for conducting drills. Information on how, why & the benefits of obtaining your Texas License to Carry handgun, & whether you should start safety training will be provided. * Light snacks & beverages are allowed during the duration of the course. There is a vending & coffee machine that are also available in the lounge. * Children ages 5-13 are FREE to attend.
