SAVE THE DATE! Our 7th annual water gardening event with the plants, the advice, and the fish is set for May 20th. Experience how the magic of water can bring fish, plants and gardens together. NHG proudly welcomes back our guests The Dallas Koi Kichi Group (DKK) and The North Texas Water Gardening Society (NTWGS) for a water-themed morning in the gardens, with specials, live demos, and a fish auction. OUR SCHEDULE: 9:00 NHG is open. Browse our selection of water plants, containers, and accessories. 9:00am- Koi Auction Registration- Drop by the DKK table so you can bid on your dream fish! 10:00-1:00- Gardening Guidance- Visit with ponding experts Lisa Herrick, Felix Saucedo, and Rebecca & Kyle Hardman from NTWGS. They've got advice on starting your first pond or water feature. Stop by the DKK table, too, and visit with Michael Moffitt and DKK members to learn about koi ponds and fish. Learn how to pot and grow water plants with NHG's Rusty E. Allen. And, just as every other day at NHG, you can always talk to our experienced Garden Advisors for help in getting started in water gardening. 10:30-11:30am- 20th Annual Koi Auction. The Dallas Koi Kichi Group sponsors a yearly auction of high-quality koi, hand-picked by its members. Pay with cash, check, or credit card, and don't forget to bring along a container large enough to take your fish home. And, don’t miss this year’s NTWGS 32nd Annual Tour of Ponds –June 10th & 11th.
