We have picked 8 classic, family friendly films that our young folks might not have ever seen before! Help us encourage a love of classic cinema, and have a wonderful Summer as well! Summer One – Kid Shows (8 films) Tickets: $5 per show, or $7 per show with popcorn and drink, or get a Movie Pass for $25 to see them all or get a Super Movie Pass with popcorn and drink for $40 for all! Sat. June 3 – 10AM – Heidi - An orphaned young girl named Heidi (Shirley Temple) lives happily with her grouchy but gentle grandfather, Adolph (Jean Hersholt) in the Swiss Alps. When she's stolen by her ruthless aunt, Dete (Mady Christians), and sold as a servant to the wealthy Herr Sesemann (Sidney Blackmer), Adolph embarks on a journey to find his granddaughter. Meanwhile, Heidi keeps her spirits high and befriends Sesemann's crippled daughter, Klara (Marcia Mae Jones), but longs to return home. Tue. June 6 – 1PM – Baby: Secret of the Lost Legend - A paleontologist (Sean Young) and her husband (William Katt) protect a baby brontosaurus from a cutthroat colleague (Patrick McGoohan) in Africa. Sat. June 10 – 10AM – The Velveteen Rabbit - After the death of his mother, Toby Morgan (Matthew Harbour) is sent to spend Christmas with his strict grandmother (Kevin Jubinville). The boy seems destined for an unpleasant holiday -- until he discovers an attic full of magical toys. The happy crew includes a prissy swan (Ellen Burstyn), an overeager horse (Tom Skerritt) and a lovely velveteen rabbit. The rabbit was left to him by his mother and, with its help, Toby might be granted his biggest Christmas wish of all. Tue. June 13 – 1PM – Battlestar Galactica (1978) - After the destruction of the Twelve Colonies of Mankind, the last major fighter carrier leads a makeshift fugitive fleet in a desperate search for the legendary planet Earth. It’s Star Wars-esque fun in outer space! Sat. June 17 – 10AM – Lassie Come Home - In a small Yorkshire village during the Great Depression, financial pressures cause the parents of young Joe Carraclough (Roddy McDowall) to sell his beloved dog, Lassie, to the Duke of Rudling (Nigel Bruce). After the duke takes the collie to his Scottish estate, his granddaughter (Elizabeth Taylor) recognizes that the dog misses her former owner and allows her to escape. Facing great dangers and small kindnesses on her lengthy journey, the faithful dog sets forth to rejoin her beloved family. Tue. June 20 – 1PM – Francis the Talking Mule - A dimwitted lieutenant is labelled a lunatic when he insists a talking mule helped him on his military ventures. Sat. June 24 – 10AM - – Flight of the Doves - A greedy uncle (Ron Moody) chases brother-and-sister heirs from England to their grandmother (Dorothy McGuire) in Ireland. Tue. June 27 – 1PM – Where the Red Fern Grows - A young Ozarks boy listens to his grandfather and saves up to buy two raccoon hounds in 1930s Oklahoma.
