Herbs for Healthy Grieving
Greta de la Montagne Clinical Herbalist, RH(AHG); Gentle Strength Botanicals, Southwest School of Botanical Medicine
Learn about the primary herbs and formulas used to support a healthy grieving process. Receive recipes and learn techniques for assisting a loved one through a grieving process, a client, or navigating it in a healthy manner yourself.
"Using the framework of the moon cycles, and the Ayurvedic elemental principles, this class gently guides participants through the elemental journey that is deep grieving.
Explore how we feel the pain of loss, and how to face grief straight on, and hopefully walk away with an understanding of the importance of putting our face into that wind. Also how can we grieve with each other during this time of the Anthropocene and the great biodiversity loss we are experiencing.
Greta will also cover resources for natural burial options, holistic and inclusive memorial services, meditations and breathing exercises.
Greta de la Montagne studied and received a clinical herbalist diploma at the Southwest School of Botanical Medicine in 1992 and has been a registered herbalist with the American Herbalist Guild since 1999. In practice for over 30 years, specializing in Herbal First Aid for large outdoor events and disaster response, she currently directs the non-profit organization Southwest School of Botanical Medicine which supports the amazing website resource that herbalist Michael RS Moore created before his untimely passing in 2009.
