CMTM is also excited to announce special guest Adam Gardner, a founding member of the rock band Guster and a co-founder of the Portland-based non-profit REVERB. A short program and toast will round out this special occasion and pivotal milestone celebrating 100 years of theatre for young audiences. Admission includes tickets to After Dark: Theatre, a night of play and revelry for children at heart The evening and weekend of events also serve as an important fundraiser, helping to ensure CMTM’s ability to welcome any child regardless of income or ability and make magical memories for years to come. P.S. - All that glitters is GOLD! Guests are invited to dress in gold, the official color for 100 years and celebration theme. Special performance by Adam Gardner: Gardner is a founding member of the rock band Guster and a co-founder of the Portland-based non-profit REVERB. Gardner formed Guster with fellow Tufts students Ryan Miller and Brian Rosenworcel in the early nineties. The group has spent the past 30 years releasing music and performing to sold-out crowds across America. Adam co-founded REVERB with his wife Lauren Sullivan to partner with musicians, festivals and venues to green their concerts and encourage fans to take environmental and social action. REVERB has partnered with artists including Billie Eilish, The 1975, the Dave Matthews Band, and venues like Forest Hills Stadium and Maine's Thompson's Point. In 2017, Gardner and his band Guster created On The Ocean, a multi-day music festival in Portland. The fifth edition will take place from August 11-13 at The State Theatre and Thompson's Point. Special performance by BONDEKO: Bondeko fuses eclectic rhythms from Albania, the Republic of Congo, France, American soul, Gypsy music and much more... Some band members only share a dozen words of common language… But Bondeko exemplifies the unifying power of artistic expression, experience and global connection! Special performance by VIVA : VIVA is multi-ethnic, multilingual and multi-talented! Viva The Sensation is her own band performing with tracks she’s carefully arranged, recording the instrumental parts herself, and focusing entirely on music that feels decadent, juicy, and full.
