Host Aaron Dante will go one-on-one with Pratt Library Chief Executive Officer Heidi Daniel for an evening of conversation and community building. Join us for a happy hour meet and greet, followed by a live interview of Pratt's own CEO. Space for this program is limited and registration is required. ID REQUIRED for alcohol consumption. The podcast seeks to build community of human experiences, positive storytelling and conversation. The format can consist of simply telling a memorable tale, entrepreneur life or explaining an experience that changed a life. NoPixAfterDark is the Winner of 2020, 2021 & 2022 Readers Choice Best of Baltimore for the Baltimore Sun and 2020, 2021 & 2022 Reader Choice Best of Baltimore for Baltimore Magazine. The NoPixAfterDark Podcast participated in Epsilon Omega chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. as they celebrated Black Podcasters for Black History Month. NoPixAfterDarkPodcast Emcee ‘d the Visit Baltimore Annual Conference 2022 panel for “Building the future of Tourism.” NoPixAfterDark was the first podcast to record live during AFRAM 2022. The hit podcast recently participated in the Maryland Association of Counties (MACO) podcast alley, worked with the U.S. Navy for Maryland Fleet Week 2022, worked with Guinness Open Gate Brewery, 2023 CIAA Tech Summit, Arena Stage Washington DC, Visit Baltimore and Vice TV. Guests of NoPixAfterDark have included City Council President, Mayor Baltimore City Brandon Scott; Washington Commanders Vice President Julie Donaldson, CEO & President La Fête Du Rosè Donaè Burston, Lobos 1707 Tequila Dia Simms; Maryland Governor Elect Wes Moore, Dr. Karsonya Whitehead, WEAA radio host and renowned DEI expert; Annie Milli. Executive Director of Live Baltimore; and Visit Baltimore CEO & President Al Hutchinson. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Heidi Daniel joined the Enoch Pratt Free Library as President and CEO in July of 2017. Ms. Daniel is focused on leading the Pratt into the future by breaking down barriers of access for the people of Baltimore and the state of Maryland. In 2018, she led the Pratt to becoming one of the first fine-free public library systems on the East Coast. She managed the $115 million renovation and reopening of the historic Central Library. Under her leadership, the Pratt was named one of the “Nicest Places in America” by Good Morning America and Reader’s Digest. Coming to Baltimore from Youngstown, Ohio, Daniel served as Executive Director of the Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County. Daniel, the 2015 recipient of the Ohio Librarian of the Year award, oversaw fifteen library branches throughout Mahoning County. During her nearly five years as Executive Director, she worked on several major building projects and spearheaded innovative new services, including a Pop-Up Library and the circulation of mobile Wi-Fi hot spots. Prior to Youngstown, Daniel began her career in children’s and teen programming in Oklahoma City and Houston before moving into library administration. She managed multiple neighborhood library branches in Houston before becoming Director of the Ohio system. The daughter of a factory worker, her parents did not go to college, but used the library in her Michigan hometown to impress upon her the importance of education. Daniel earned her Bachelor’s degree in women’s studies at DePaul University and her master’s degree in library sciences at Texas Woman’s University.
