Description
Take time to relax deeply, experience the healing vibrations of special sound instruments, while supporting a great cause. Proceeds from this sound bath will help the Boulder Nablus Sister City Project. Askar Refugee Camp currently does not have a dedicated ambulance for its residents -- meaning that many injured and ailing must be transported in private cars and often do not survive the trip to the hospital due to no trained staff caring for them onboard. The ride can take over an hour during heavy traffic periods. Having medical equipment and trained staff available for those being transported can save lives. An ambulance will also have a better chance of getting through military checkpoints along an often obstructed main road to the hospital. The situation is dire and your financial support will save lives. About Sound Baths: Sound baths, which I like to call sound massages, help our noisy "monkey minds" to get quiet as we shift to a Theta brainwave state from our usual Beta and Alpha states. This is where we relax deeply and experience peace and healing. Sound healing is known to help benefit people who experience chronic pain, insomnia, PTS(D), headaches, anxiety, stress and a myriad of other conditions. It literally changes us on a cellular level! When our energy system (which correlates with our organs) is out of balance it can have a ripple effect on other parts of our body. This phenomenon is known as entrainment. Eventually, such imbalances can lead to disease unless brought back into balance. Sound healing instruments can be used to restore our energy centers (chakras) back into balance with the resonance of their frequencies that match the frequencies of our body. Cellular change! A 32" planetary gong, crystal and Tibetan singing bowls, crystal harp, chimes, Ocean Drum, rain stick, rattle and more will be used during this sound meditation experience to bathe you in beautiful resonance! I recommend you bring a yoga mat, blanket and any pillows or cushions you may want to be comfortable laying down. You may also want to bring an eye mask. Let me know if you need any accommodations so that you may be comfortable. Please arrive 10-15 minutes before the start time so that you can prepare for the experience, and silence your phone before entering. Understand that late arrivals may not be admitted once the sound bath has begun, out of respect for the group's experience. If you have any medical conditions that may be negatively impacted by sound or vibrations, please consult your health care professional before signing up.
