Description

For our last Movement May event we will be going for a nice, slow-paced walk. This event is for people of color and is an opportunity to get moving, connect with nature, and prioritize your mental health. Walking is a low-impact form of exercise that has been shown to have numerous benefits for mental health. Research has shown that walking can help reduce symptoms of depression and anxiety, improve mood, and increase self-esteem. It's a simple yet powerful way to put your mental health first. We will be meeting at Fossil Creek Park at the gazebo on May 31st at 6:30 pm. We'll be walking at a leisurely pace, giving you plenty of time to enjoy the scenery and connect with others in the community. All fitness levels are welcome. Please wear comfortable clothing and shoes you are comfortable walking in. The event is free and we welcome donations. Let's come together to prioritize our mental health and celebrate Mental Health Awareness Month!
