Description
Authentic Relating (AR) is the practice of bringing our truth into connection with others so we can create more rich, truthful and joyful human experiences Authenticity is acting and speaking in alignment with our inner feelings, desires, and needs and while we all want this, actually doing this is hard! We’re taught to wear masks and hide our true selves to stay in connection, but this often results in disconnection with self and others. Let’s do it differently. Authentic Relating practices create a safe, intentional space - rooted in play and supported by clear boundaries - to create meaningful and enjoyable connections to self and others. Authentic Relating games are like going to the gym; we’re flexing the muscles of authenticity and vulnerability. By learning Authentic Relating skills, you can drop your conditioned relational habits and learn to relate with yourself and others from a deeper more authentic expression of your truth. Each game night is different and stirs different emotions and experiences, but you’ll likely leave feeling more connected to others and yourself. Date: Tue, May 9, 2023 - from7-9:15 pm Arrive between 6:30 pm - 6:55 pm so we can begin at 7 pm. Games will end at 9:15, but we have the space until 10 pm for continued connection. Where: HeartLab (3095 21st St, San Francisco, CA 94110) Contribution 💰 The sliding scale for tickets is $20-$40. We are renting a beautiful space in the Mission, and $15 per person will help cover the space rental. Every facilitator that is stepping in to lead us will put time and energy into preparing and organizing, and we want to support their efforts. $5 - $20 of the total ticket price will go to the facilitator. Free tickets. No one will be turned away for lack of funds. I have created 5 free tickets; please grab one if you need to. More on Free tickets. I’m offering 5 free tickets with every event, and I’m doing it with an honor system. Just grab one if you need to; no questions asked. My intention in offering free tickets is to have those events 100% accessible to everybody, especially if you’re struggling financially like you’ve been laid off, making minimum wage, or being unemployed right now. There is no shame about that; that should never be a barrier to being part of this community. However, If I notice that you’ve gotten a free ticket and you aren’t in that category, my trust that you’ve honored the system is going to be hurt, and I’m going to be curious to hear from you on why it was important for you to get a free ticket, so expect me to reach out and have a conversation about that. This is the best way for me to keep offering free tickets using the honor system. Do you have a better way for me to do that? Please reach out, I would love to hear your thoughts. Use the code: COMMUNITY on checkout to get your free ticket.
