Join Charlotte Canner on May 6th, and learn about soil health! Healthy soil is the literal and figurative foundation of a beautiful, pest-free garden. In this in-person workshop, Charlotte Canner of "Our Water Our World" will discuss why healthy soil is beneficial for plant growth, pest reduction, water efficiency in the garden, and how it can even help in the fight against climate change! She will also teach how to build and maintain nutrient-rich soil, whether starting with a bare lot or a mature garden. This class is for all levels of gardeners. Charlotte Canner is an Integrated Pest Management Advocate with the Our Water Our World program in the Bay Area. The program partners with retailers to educate consumers on less-toxic pest management and keeping toxic chemicals out of our waterways. Charlotte is also a soil & compost enthusiast and has taught composting at various gardens and retailers in the Bay Area. She lives in San Francisco with her partner, rescue super-mutt, and her few thousand composting worms.
