On May 21, 2023, the Wender Weis Foundation for Children’s (WWFC) proudly presents Children’s Champions with a 2023-style family-friendly afternoon of sports, activities, art, snacks, and philanthropy in Palo Alto, on the football field at Palo Alto High School. The event will feature: Interactive sports stations with athletes from Stanford University as well as some of your favorite Bay Area professional sports teams; such as - football, soccer, wrestling, gymnastics, and SO MUCH MORE! Your child can learn football skills, wrestle with college athletes, balance on a balance beam, enhance their soccer acuity - all with Stanford players and some professional athletes, too!Photo opportunities and laughs with team mascots and sports heroes;Arts and crafts for all ages, featuring creativity stations and more;Outdoor fun with bubbles and old-fashioned summer camp style games; andAn amazing afternoon of family time that also supports underserved families in our community!Additionally, not only will you receive a ticket but your contribution will provide an opportunity for an underserved child or family to attend the event, too! Event co-chairs are Maryam Neil and Jenn and Mike Kramer! We will be bringing funds and awareness to Special Olympics Northern California, and we will have a unified athlete station along with Stanford teams and 49ers PREP. We will also have Sourdough Sam, Q, and the whale from vineyard vines scheduled to attend as special guests. Tickets start at $100/person or $500/family package. Custom corporate sponsorship opportunities are also available. Net proceeds will donated back into the community to benefit underserved kids from local schools and charities. We will be following all COVID-19 protocols and monitor all state and county health guidelines. Should Children's Champions be prevented from occurring, your ticket purchase or sponsorship will become a 100% tax deductible contribution to the Wender Weis Foundation for Children to benefit underserved children in the Bay Area.
