Archaeologist Fred Blackburn will present the highlights and trials of documentation and research discoveries within Aztec Ruins National Monument. A team effort recorded prehistoric and historic inscriptions within 12 of the original and intact rooms as well as the original home of Earl Morris, currently visitor center and office. A few life stories of unique individuals, and settlement ties, discovery and early preservation by the settlers of the town of Aztec. Approximately 1804 inscription locations, and approximately 300 prehistoric inscriptions have currently been recorded. Sizes of inscriptions and art are as small as .oo5 cm in height. Locations where found include; wooden beams, Latillas, building stone, rock and plaster.
