A one-day introduction to the world of farming and vegetable production open to rising 9th through 12th graders.
Students will be introduced to various aspects of farming including starting seeds, planting crops into the garden, identifying insects and learning which are beneficial, tending crops, creating compost, equipment usage, and harvesting. This one-day camp will be a great opportunity for students to have some fun while learning how to produce their own food and take home seeds to grow themselves!
Students will be responsible for their lunch, drinks, and snacks throughout the day. Please bring a refillable water bottle with a lid each day.
Dress Code: Students must wear long pants; shirt/ top with sleeves; and closed toe/ heel shoes (like tennis shoes) no flip flops or sandals.
