The 3rd Annual Family and Youth Engagement Summit: Moving From Conversation to Action will further our collective pursuit to integrate authentic engagement into all levels of child welfare and juvenile justice practice, policy, and research. Creating the systems, and therefore the communities, we all deserve requires us to be in partnership with each other and affirming that youth and families are experts of their own lives and know what they need. This event will provide the knowledge and tools to help all of us do that. The first day of the Summit is open to anyone who serves older youth in juvenile justice and/ or child welfare. The second day (September 6) is invite-only for State and District Team members. Those participating as part of their District Team will be contacted by their team lead. Melvin Gaye, Iowa Youth Justice Council Member, and , will emcee the Summit. There is no cost to attend. An agenda will be released this Summer.
