Hi’ilani ‘O Ke Kai means “praise and admiration of the sea”. We are both a hālau hula (hula school) and an outrigger canoe club based in Monterey, CA. Founded in 1984, our community has grown every year and our membership includes friends and family of all ages. We are also fondly known as “Ke Kai”. We offer fun outrigger canoe paddling for recreation and competitive racing, hula classes, an annual lū’au event, and several community activities throughout the year. We welcome you to join us for any and all of our activities.
