The Yemeni Student Association is hosting its 2nd annual fundraising dinner for Yemen on May 18th, 2023, at The Lincoln Manor Banquet Hall & Event Center. The purpose of this event is to raise funds for the orphans in Yemen, who are in dire need of food and clothing. As you may know, Yemen is facing a severe humanitarian crisis, and the children are among the most vulnerable. We believe that by coming together, we can make a difference in their lives. We are partnering with the United Humanitarian Foundation (UHF) to raise awareness of the situation in Yemen and to raise funds for UHF's relief efforts in the region. With your support, we can continue to make a difference in the lives of those affected by the crisis in Yemen. As a student organization, our mission is to cultivate a Yemeni community that promotes a safe space for students of Yemeni descent, celebrates Yemeni culture, and encourages the pursuit of higher education among Yemeni students and other underrepresented minorities in high schools around Michigan. We would like to highlight that this fundraising dinner is a collaboration between all of the Yemeni Student Association’s in Michigan, respectively the University of Michigan Ann Arbor, the University of Michigan Dearborn, Wayne State University, Michigan State University, and the University of Detroit Mercy. Together, we stand united in our mission to support a common cause and make a lasting difference in the lives of those affected by the crisis in Yemen. *All proceeds from this event will go towards humanitarian aid for the people of Yemen *
